We see the wrath of God often shown in the Old Testament. Now we must ask ourselves, is the God of the New Testament and Old Testament the same? The answer is yes, God’s wrath is still “being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Romans 1:18).” At the very heart of this doctrine is that, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8”. Since God is the same every day and even for eternity we can rest assured that God does not change. God’s love is shown both in the Old Testament and New Testament not just His wrath. “And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:6″”. Even though God remains the same and shows the same grace, repentance is important in our faith. We learn that, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent: Acts 17:30”. So God often winked at sin but now desires for us to have a relationship with Him. However, we do know that God’s grace is 100% a result of faith. Amen
