The Bible teaches (Ephesians 2:8–9) that we are saved by grace through faith. Grace is, “…not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”. John 1:16–17 says, “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Romans 6:4 teaches that  we are ” not  under law but under grace.” God’s grace is something we didn’t earn and don’t deserve. The only reason we do receive God’s grace and are worthy of it is because of Jesus Christ. We are not worthy on our own of God’s grace but Christ is and with Him in our hearts we are made worthy. Praise God for His love, grace and mercy. Amen

““For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord…to give you a future with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11” God has plans for our future and wants us to do well. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” It is great news that there is a purpose for us in this life. God desires for everyone to be saved and also for all Christians He works things out for the good. Although, we may face many challenges in our life Jesus’ “burden is light” and He will help us through them. Life is not easy but giving our needs up to God in prayer should be. Praise God, who works out all things for the good. Amen

When we sin we should repent but we do have God’s promise that as Christians he won’t hold our sins against us. He has already said: “I will forgive their iniquities and remember their sins no more,” (Hebrew 8:12 NIV). We are blessed to have a God whose blood on the cross is enough to cover our past and future sins. Without faith we can’t please God and the Bible clearly tells us that. The Good News of the Gospel is that Jesus saves us from punishment in hell. I am thankful for God’s grace and mercy. Amen

Jesus came to earth so that, “…we might receive adoption to sonship.” He came so that we might be adopted into the family of God. However, what does that mean? According to Romans 8:15 we receive the Spirit of God in our hearts when we repent and believe the Gospel. Faith in Christ causes God to forgive our sins, and makes us Children of God. Other verses say we are heirs according to promise meaning that God adopts us into His family even though we are unworthy we are worthy because of what He did on the cross. God’s grace makes us Children of God and heirs. The end result is that as Christians we are forever part of God’s family and will not be separated from Him. John 10:29 tells us we are forever with God when we believe, “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”. Praise God for His grace, mercy and love

The Bible teaches us Jesus is on the right hand of God. Mark 16:19 says, “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” What does this mean? Well, it tells us that the identity of Jesus is God and He has the highest place in Heaven. Right hand symbolizes the strength of Christ. When it says Jesus is seated at the right hand of God it means that He shares God’s strength, authority, and blessing. Ephesians 4:5 teaches there is, “One Lord, one faith, one baptism,”. So there is one being in Heaven that is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is equal to God because He is God. Praise God that Jesus loves us so much and died in our place. Amen

Jesus who is God is perfect and without sin. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV). Jesus has a perfect love for us even to the point that He died on the cross for our sin. The Good News is Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. God is three persons in one. The Holy Spirit was left with us to comfort us and help us. God has great compassion on us and loves us dearly.  1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us.” Jesus came to bridge the gap between God and man and that is exactly what He did! Jesus is the only way to Heaven, He is the creator and maker of everything. Jesus is also eternal. Micah 5:2 tells us that Jesus, “…origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Praise God that Jesus gave Himself for our sin. Amen

James 2:20 teaches us that, “faith without works is dead”. The passage is warning against those who say they believe in Jesus but have no spiritual transformation in their life. We are not saved by works but good works are the results of our born-again faith in Christ. In the Old Testament before Jesus, Abraham was obedient to God and saved by it. When Jesus was on earth He followed God 100% not just faith. The Lord kept God’s laws and fulfilled what the scriptures promised. When we sin we are forgiven because of Christ’s perfect sacrifice. Paul in Romans 6:1 warns, “…Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”. We should all be aware of our sins and do our best not to fall short but when we do pick our feet back up and stay the course following God. Jesus is the God of good and does no evil. When we do good things we should do them for God’s glory not our own. It’s important to know that God is good and to keep Jesus as our source for salvation and not our own deeds. God desires for everyone to be saved knowing that tomorrow Jesus might come back. God is inviting everyone to repent so that when they die they can go to Heaven. Praise God for His grace and mercy. 1 John 4:10 says, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” The truth is God loved us even before we were born. Jesus died on the cross for our past, present and future sins. It did not end with Jesus dying on the cross, on the third day He overcame the grave and rose from the dead. After 40 days on earth after His resurrection He ascended into Heaven. God does promise that Jesus will come again to earth for a final victory over sin and death. Christ will make a New Heaven and a New Earth where there is no sin. The Holy Spirit dwells in the hearts of all Christians. Praise God for His love, grace and promise of a perfect Heaven and Earth. Amen

Romans 11:29 says, “For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.” The gifts of God are the work that Christ provided for humanity. The gifts are righteousness, salvation, and eternal life. When God calls us to preach or something He does not change His mind. Even when we are often sinning God will still use us to build up His Kingdom or do His works. Let’s look at another translation, Romans 11:29 AMP says, “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].” Salvation is a free gift of God that we can’t lose and His plan for us never changes. Even when we are stuck in sin God is still calling us to come back to Him. Even if a person is not faithful to the call of God in his or her life, the call is still there, anyways. God doesn’t revoke the call He has on us. We should obey God and the call He has for us. “Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.” ~ 1 Corinthians 7:20. The gifts of God are the gifts of salvation, righteousness, and eternal life. Even though many of the Jews did not believe God, He is showing mercy and has turned to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles. “For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. ~ Romans 11:31-32” Due to their sin and falling from God He turned from Israel and sought out the Non-Jews to preach the Gospel. God will not repent for having called the Jews as a nation and offering them Salvation. God has been merciful and called the Gentiles grafting them into the family of God. Praise God for His love, grace and mercy. Amen

1 Corinthians 15:19 says, “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.” This verse teaches us that if we only have hope in Christ for a few short years we fall short. There is no purpose for a Christianity where Christ was not raised from the dead. People that do not believe in the resurrection have a bleak picture of things. The Gospel is true and we should live the Gospel. Those who believe the Gospel are forgiven for their sins and invited into Heaven after this life. Some of the people at the time of this passage may have believed in the destruction of both the body and spirit after death as it was common in that culture to cling to. The benefits of Christ are not limited to this life but the promise of a life with Christ after death. Paul here rejects that an experience where Christ benefits us only in our life would be a waste of time.
