Jesus can sympathize with our struggles. Hebrews 4:15 tells us, “…was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”. Jesus came in the form of God to earth (Philippians 2:6). Jesus was and is equal to God, He is God. Jesus humbled Himself and was obedient to the will of the Father. When we accept Christ we are reborn and have a new life in Him, Romains 6:4, “…we also should walk in newness of life.”. Praise God for His ability to understand our struggles and help us through them. Amen

Romans 6:8 says, “God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” That teaches us that we should have a new birth in Christ. Being dead to sin is when God makes us re-born as a new person in Christ Jesus. God loves us and wants us to have a good life and desires for everyone to be saved. We are saved because of what Christ did for us, not because of our works. Romans 3:20 says, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Praise God for salvation through His amazing grace. Amen

We need to keep our minds on Heavenly things for Romans  8:6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”  We should do our best to follow God and not be influenced by our sinful nature.  Our minds can be weak and sinful but God has great plans for us so we should not follow our sinful flesh but obey the Holy Spirit.  In Jeremiah 29:11 God declares that He knows the plans he has for us, God says that He plans to prosper us.  Which means that God plans for us to do well and make the most out of our lives.  Oftentimes we are hindered from God by our sin.  Sin separates us from God but it is Jesus Christ that connects us to the grace of God.  God has promised that he will supply all of our needs according to His riches as stated in Philippines 4:9, “God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  This means that whatever we ask in faith we will receive.  Does this mean that if we ask for a new car we will receive it?  No, not necessarily. God expects us to use wise judgement in our asking.  God wants us to lift up our needs to Him in prayer and not necessary materialistic needs but needs of the heart.  God desires to have a personal relationship with each and everyone of us. God has offered to give us what we need to maintain that relationship with Him.  For instance if God asks us to preach God will help by giving us the skills to preach, if God asks us to be a missionary He will help by supplying us with our needs if we go to Him in prayer.   We should do all things giving thanks to the Lord Jesus and giving Him the glory and believing His promises.  Romans 4:21 says, “what he had promised, he was also able to perform.”  So this means that God will stick to His promises meaning that He will never act outside of His character.  Jesus will always stick to His word and keep His promises.  God is always faithful even when we are not God remains faithful according to 2 Timothy 2:13, “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”  Seeing that God remains faithful even when we are not is ultimate proof of the love of God.  No matter how we behave we are still God’s children and He loves us very much and cares deeply about each and every one of us, He is a good God and desires the best for us in our lives. Phillipans 2:6 tells us, Jesus came to the earth in the very “form of God”.  Although Jesus was and is God we learn that He surrendered some of His power so that He could suffer death. He died on the cross so that we could have Eternal Life. Jesus even took the title of God for Himself John 8:58, He is the “…I Am” Christ is the “I Am” of Exodus 3:14.  

Yahweh means: “I Am who I Am.” God told Moses His name during the burning bush encounter when God commissioned Moses to free Israel from Egyptian bondage encounter (Exodus 3:13-15). God’s Name, the “I Am”, gives a sense of the true and eternal nature of God (Revelation 1:8). 

Three absolute and eternal persons belong to this Godhead called Yahweh: (1) the Father, (2) the Son, Jesus Christ, and (3) the Holy Spirit. These three persons are one (1 John 5:7) united in unity of power and purpose forming the Trinity. Yahweh is one God made up of three persons yet one Eternal God by whom all things existed and the Father, Son, Holy Spirit through whom all was created. (John 1:3).

Matthew 6:34 says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”. That is urging us to trust in God and that He will provide for us. God already has tomorrow planned. He is the God of the past, present and future. We should focus on the present moment while we can have some preparation for tomorrow. It is good to focus on getting through each day. God loves us and is our great provider. Jesus even tells us that God provides for “…the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:”. Since God does that we should know that He will much more provide for people which were created in the image of God. Matthew 6:34 is a sentiment, and the perfect verse to pray over when we’re worried about what tomorrow will bring. Praise God for yesterday, today and tomorrow. We also know that Jesus according to Hebrews 13:8 tells us: “Jesus Christ is exactly the same in the past, in the present, and in the future.” Amen

Jesus teaches that we should store up treasures in Heaven. While it’s not fully understood, we should not put our trust in earthly things. 1 Timothy 6:7 says, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” The Apostle Paul also teaches we should do good things for all people. God has so much grace towards us. There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation but there are things we can do to grow our faith. Jesus is the living God who lets us enjoy the many blessings we have. Praise God for His grace and mercy. Amen

1 Corinthians 4:1 says “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.” What does this mean? Jesus is the “mystery” revealed to those who have salvation as is the mystery of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Through Jesus we are given the gift of eternal life and God revealed it when He came to earth as a man; died and rose from the dead. The atonement of Christ is the hidden mystery and Jesus is God revealed to us. Praise God for salvation. Amen

Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” What does fear have to do with wisdom? This teaches us that the only true source of wisdom is God. The verse is teaching for us to have love and respect for God. The fear mentioned is different from a fear of things that would hurt us. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus says, “…I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”. So it’s good news that God is with us. We have love for God not because we fear He’s going to torture us if we don’t. Rather, because we recognize who He is and His love for us. 1 John 4:19 says, “We love him, because he first loved us.”. Praise God for His love for us. Amen

1 Corinthians 7:40 says, “…I think also that I have the Spirit of God.”. What does Paul mean when He says that?” I think he’s making a reference. His judgement of right and wrong is influenced by the Holy Spirit. Paul when writing to churches sometimes referenced His judgement, however we know Paul had a personal relationship with God. We can all have a personal relationship with God. All we have to do is believe in Him and accept Him. Once we accept Jesus we should build on our relationship by trusting in Him and praying often. Praise God for the Holy Spirit. Amen

“1 Corinthians 2:1: And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
1 Corinthians 2:2: For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” What does that mean? It means that God will help give us the words to speak when preaching the Gospel. Jesus said in Mark 13:11, “…take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” The Good News of the Gospel is something that we should rely on the Holy Spirit when we minister. When we trust in God He will guide us and help us to know what to say. God loves everyone 1 Timothy 2:4 says, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”. So that means God desires for everyone to accept Him as Savior so that they can join in the promise of God which is Eternal Life. Praise God for the Gospel. Amen
