He Will Come Again

Jesus came to earth in the first century and will come again. The Bible teaches us that His second coming will catch us off-guard or as it puts it in the Bible He will come as a, “…thief in the night. 1 Th. 5:2).” We learn in 2 Peter 3:10 that the Heavens and the Earth will someday be gone. Jesus teaches us about Himself saying, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35”. It is great news that Jesus’ words of eternal life will never fade away and that God’s promises endure forever. Amen

Family of God

God loves you infinitely and desires to have a relationship with you. Jesus came 2,000 years ago to die for all our sins. When Jesus came and died the road to salvation was finished. It is a great joy to know that through Jesus we can and will have eternal life. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12”. According to Romans 8:14 when we are led by the Spirit to God we are called sons of God. I am thankful that through Jesus Christ God has adopted us into His family and called us Sons of God. Amen

God Loves Us

The Bible teaches that God loves us so much that He died for our sins. Verses such as John 3:16 which many of us can quote by heart teach us that God loved the world enough to die for it. Like stated in the Old Testament “I will forgive their iniquity, I will remember their sin no more.” Jeremiah 31:34b. Romans 5:8 teaches us that, “…God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”. While we were without God and sinful Jesus died for us so that we could accept Him and be saved. Praise God for the gift of salvation! Amen.

Saved

God loves it when we repent and believe the Gospel the Lord saves us. Back in the ancient days God handled sin problems differently. Acts 17:30 says, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” Now that we have the full Bible both the New and the Old Testament we are able to be saved by faith. Back in the Old Testament they had to kill animals yearly. Praise the Lord that Jesus died once and for all and rose from the dead. Through the death of Christ and placing our life in His hands we are saved. Amen

Preach Gospel

God loves for us to go out and preach to those that don’t know Jesus. 2 Corin. 5:20 teaches that we are ambassadors of the Gospel. Through Jesus we have been united to God. So we should let our light shine by doing good things and proclaiming the Gospel. I am thankful for salvation through faith only in Jesus. I’m glad all we have to do is accept Him. God still desires for us to do good works, but we don’t earn salvation; it is a free gift given through Jesus Christ. Praise God for His Gospel. Amen

Grace

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 KJV” It is great to know that all we need to do is come humbly before God and we will be saved. When Jesus died on the cross the plan of salvation was ‘finished’, now all we need to do is accept Him as Lord and God. God’s grace is without limits. Amen

Loves Us

Romans 2:11 and many other parts of the Bible teach us that God does not show favoritism. He loves everyone. God desires for everyone to be saved and come to have a true relationship with Him. As followers of Christ the Lord of glory we should love everyone. “My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. James 2:1”. “We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19”. We have love for God and He loves us completely with an everlasting love. As Christians we love Jesus because He first loved us. Since we know Jesus loves us we can rest assured that He has prepared a place in Heaven for all those that trust in Him. Amen

Trust Daily

We should rely on the Lord daily.  Proverbs 3:5-6 teach us that we should trust in the Lord rather than our hearts or ourselves. The heart is sinful but God is not. “The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9″. May we trust in God to lead us in the right way. God is perfect and His way is the best way. Sometimes life is hard as Christians but by trusting in God it helps bring strength during these hard times. Praise Jesus that He is with us. Amen

Needs Met

The bible teaches us that God will supply what we need for this life. “Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? Luke 12:24”. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19”. It is great news that God will help us to have what we need. While, God helps with what we need, it should not be confused with what we want. Things, such as food or clothes God often blesses us with those things. Things like cars or money is not something we should expect God just to give to everyone. I am thankful that even if we don’t have everything possible that God loves us and opened the Gates of Heaven to us. Amen

It is Faith

We learn in the Bible in many passages that we are justified by faith and not works. “Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Acts 13:38-39” Romans 5:1 makes it clear that we are “justified through faith”. The idea of justification by faith does not go against James which tells us that true faith produces works, it is not those works that save us or need to be done to be saved. Those good works are the fruits of the spirit done by God and not us. If we try to obtain salvation through works we are denying the full power of God’s sacrifice. Yes, faith without works is dead but works are done out of love for God. We do not see a list of works in the Bible that need to be done to be saved. The atonement of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins is enough, it was finished and paid for on that Friday on the cross. May we all trust fully in God as the only way to be saved and not in our deeds. Amen
