Honor God

Proverbs 1:7 teaches us that when we honor the Lord it gives us the ability to find wisdom and be led by His spirit. We are able to walk in peace, power and great victory through the Lord Jesus Christ. When we begin to focus our eyes and our hearts beyond our circumstances we are able to get victory over our struggles through Jesus. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10”. In Acts 10:2 we learn of a man that feared God and had great respect for Him. What does it mean to fear God? It means that we look to Him for wisdom and instruction and that we put His will above our own. The Bible teaches us that the ways of God are greater than the ways of man. God is beyond our mortal ability to understand, He is great. God came to earth as 100% man and 100% God. I thank God for dying on the cross (and rising from the dead), for our sins. The atonement is the greatest show of love that God could give us. Amen

Knowing Christ

Jesus revealed His power and authority in many ways such as through miracles, healing and rising from the dead. Jesus came to save us from our sins. Salvation is not given through good works, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12”. I am thankful that Jesus gives salvation through the grace of a sovereign God who unites me to Him through faith. When Jesus was praying while He was on earth He wanted everyone to know God and Him personally. “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3”. I am thankful that we can know God personally, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5”. It is great to know that Jesus Christ is enough, we don’t need a priest, or friend to intercede on our behalf. All we need is God and Jesus Christ who He sent to pay for our sins. Amen

Peace of Christ

Phil. 4:7 teaches us that God’s peace is beyond our human ability to understand and is in our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. Scripture says in Matthew chapter 6 verses 31-33 (KJV), “Take no thought, saying, what we shall eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things? “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.” My hope is that we can all walk in the peace, wisdom, power and the victory God has given us through Jesus Christ. “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:18” May we all trust in Christ, walk with Him daily and, “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Col. 3:15”. Amen

Jesus Proclaimed

The message of Jesus Christ and forgiveness of sins was proclaimed in the early church (…Through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Acts 13:38) and continues to be preached today. Salvation is given to all those who believe and accept the message of Jesus Christ. The reward of Heaven is given not through works (Eph. 2:9, Romains 9:11) but through God who has called us all, “into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col. 1:13).” What does all this mean? It means that God has chosen us for salvation and paved the way through the death of His dear son. It is through Jesus Christ only that we go to Heaven. Like the Bible says it is not of works or we would boast it is through God. May everyone accept the gift of salvation God has given. Amen

Trust Daily

The world is not perfect and full of sin. As a result of the sins of this world we face tough times, death and other losses, causing grief, fear and insecurity. Since we are often in hard times, it’s important to trust in the Lord daily. God will help us move forward even in times of loss & hardship. The Christian life and life in general is not always easy but we must remember that we have a best friend who died for our sins and rose all to save us. That friend is our God, Jesus Christ. Jesus is God in the flesh who came and lived among us was tempted yet remained without sin. I am thankful for the eternal reward of salvation given to those who believe through faith and the grace of God. Amen

One Way to God

There is one way to God (1 Timothy 2:5), and no one else can intercede on our behalf. 1 Timothy 2:4 tells us that God desires everyone to be saved. Jesus desires for all to have the knowledge of what the Gospel of Salvation is and to accept it. I am thankful for God’s mercy & faithfulness. Amen

Ambassadors for Christ

We are ambassadors for Christ? What does that mean? We represent Christ and are united to Him through the death of Christ (and He rose from the dead). God does not count our sins against us (2 Corinthians 5:20-21). I am thankful that Christ, who is the only way to salvation, provides a way to escape the wrath of God and be forgiven. Amen

God Unites Us

…in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their sins against them…2 Cor 5:19

In tough times it’s helpful to learn from the Bible. The Word of God tells us that Jesus is uniting us to Him and forgiving all our sins. That is the Good News of God that we are united to Him through faith and by placing our trust in Him we receive His grace. I’m thankful that God doesn’t punish us for each and every sin. It’s great to know that when we do sin we can run back to God and He is always willing to guide us, forgive us and have mercy on us. Although we are not perfect, a perfect God came and died for our sins. I am thankful for the death and resurrection of Christ. Amen

Accept Jesus

I hope you have a great day. I also hope that God will bless this day and bless you in your daily life. I hope that if you haven’t already accepted Christ as your personal Savior and Lord that you will. I urge you to accept Christ as your Savior today, for tomorrow maybe too late. Because we do not know when Jesus is coming again, and then we will need to have already accepted Him as our Savior.

God will Scatter – Scripture

Jeremiah 9:11-9:16

9:11  And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

9:12  Who is the wise man that may understand this?  and who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?

9:13  And the Lord saith, Because they have no obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;

9:14  But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Ba’al-im, which their fathers taught them:

9:15  Therefore thus saith the Lord of host, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.

9:16  I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
