Love On Another

“Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8b CSB) The Bible teaches that we should love one another as 1 Peter says that it would help us a lot. Peter does suggest that the love of Christ should direct how we deal with everyday offenses. We should not point the crooked finger of judgment too quickly at one another. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God as Paul tells us, and each of us is a little crooked in judgment were it not for Christ opening our minds to the truth. Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”. I am thankful that even though I miss the mark and sin God is willing and able to forgive me of my sins. Amen

Jesus & Avoid Lukewarm

In the Book of Revelation in the Bible, John writes to the seven churches in Asia. He warns against a church being lukewarm. He also talks about Jesus Christ’s second return and teaches us that everyone will see Him come in clouds and glory. Those that see Jesus return will be both those that believe and those that don’t. The Good News is that Christians at some point will be raptured and will either avoid the tribulation or be saved and taken up in the middle of it. The glorious return of Jesus Christ was promised 2,000 years ago and could happen at any minute. I am excited that Jesus loves me and will return to rapture me. Amen

Light Shine

In the Bible, Jesus Christ encourages us as Christian’s to do good things so that others will see them and know that God is in us. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” It is great for us to let our good works shine, it’s not those works that save us but it is a good way to thank God by doing what He wants. We are saved by the grace of a sovereign God who loves us and paid the price for our sins on the cross 2,000 years ago. I thank God for His great grace and mercy. Amen

New Earth

We learn in the Bible that God through Christ Jesus created the heavens and the earth. “Revelation 4:11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. ” It is great to know that. Even greater is that someday Jesus will come back and make a New Earth free from sin and where everyone will live in peace. I’m thankful for God’s love and grace. Amen

Walk in Hope

Jesus Christ teaches us not to worry about tomorrow. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 However, does this mean not to prepare for tomorrow? I think we should be prepared to an extent for tomorrow but we should not be worried about tomorrow or the challenges that we may face. God is sovereign and able to help us each day as He has control over tomorrow and not us. When Jesus was on earth He surely knew that He would face hardship the next day yet we never see Him questioning tomorrow or walking in fear. He knew He would at some point be handed over and falsely condemned to death yet he never walked in fear. I am thankful for our brave and loving God Christ Jesus.

Plant the Seed

When trying to reach others that don’t believe in Jesus we should do it with compassion. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”. It is God that opens the hearts of people to receive His Gospel. When we don’t believe the Gospel it seems foolish as Psalms 14:1 puts it, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God…”. However, even though it can be hard for people to receive the plan of salvation it is still worth the effort to plant the seed. If we plant the seed of the Gospel someday the person might repent and believe. I pray that everyone might be saved. Amen

Preach Jesus

We should teach others about Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:20 teaches that we are, “ambassadors for Christ,”. What does that mean? It means that we should help others so that they can be united to Christ and someday enter His kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5:20, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”. Jesus is the only way to be reconciled to God, it is through His blood shed on the cross that we are saved. God’s salvation is an offer to all that believe and God’s grace is able to wipe away many severe sins and save us. I am thankful for God’s abundant grace and mercy. Amen

Lukewarm

God warns the church in Revelation to not be lukewarm. But, what does that mean? It means when we believe but are really inactive in our faith and obedience to him. Revelation 3:16 says, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”. I praise Jesus that He loves us so much. Even when we face challenges in our faith or lukewarm God is there to help get us back on the right track. Praise Jesus for His deep love for us. Amen

Trust Always

We should always trust in the Lord, He is perfect and will never let us down. Proverb 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Jesus promised in Matthew 2:28 that He will always be with us even when the end of the world comes. God is faithful even when we are not. When we trust in the Lord He promises to guide and strengthen us. The same God that died for us (and rose from the dead) 2,000 years ago has His arms wide open to invite us into His kingdom and an abundant life. Praise God that we can trust Him and that He loves us. Amen

He Shows Mercy

God has mercy upon us all those that do their best to live a Christian life. It is not our works that saves us. Salvation is a supernatural act of the Holy Spirit it is given to us on the behalf of Christ. “De:5:10: And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.” It’s great news to know that God is love, and shows such great mercy towards us. Luke 1:50 tells us that, “And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.” Praise Jesus for the love He has for us and for His abundant grace. Amen
