In Psalm 51, King David begins to acknowledge his sin after his affair with Bathsheba and his murder of Uriah, her husband (2 Sam. 11–12). Psalm 51:1 says, “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.” God desires for us to do like David did, which is to acknowledge our sins and turn away from them. When we repent God is always ready, willing and able to forgive us of our sins and purify us from all evil. “1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”. In this generation God is calling for all to repent and believe in Him. Acts 17:30 says, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:”. I am thankful for God’s grace. Amen.
