Jesus teaches that we should do good things so that others might see the fruits of our works and glorify God. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 KJV)” While good works are not required for salvation they help provide evidence that our hearts have truly been changed by the Gospel. We should do good things because of our love for God. The Bible teaches that when we live the Gospel we store up riches in Heaven. We also are taught in the Word of God that He will not forget our good works. God has a deep love for us and desires for us to have true Discipleship in Him. Praise God for His love and guiding us.
