1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” What does that mean? It teaches us that without God in our hearts understanding Christ’s atonement is difficult to say the least. Before, we have accepted Jesus the Gospel seems foolish because we don’t understand what God did for us. When we become saved we are adopted into the family of God and His plan of salvation. As, Christian’s we are able to understand that the cross and sacrifice of Jesus is what Christianity is all about. We learn that God loved us enough He was willing to die for us. When we begin to appreciate Christ’s love for us He begins to open our minds and hearts to understand Him better. Praise God for the cross, for His love for us and for His forgiveness. Amen
