Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. 1 Corinthians 3:11 says, “For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”. What does that mean? God wants us to follow Him and grow in our faith. When we build our faith on solid ground the Lord will guide us and help us through all the challenges we face. Satan does sometimes tempt us but with God in our hearts we are able to fight against Him and win. When Jesus was tempted by Satan he quoted the Word of God. Luke 4:8 says, “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” We should be careful not to be self-serving and not put other things before God. It is easy in life to forget God and put other things before Him but we should not do that. When we let God’s spirit lead us He helps us to stay on the right path. Praise God for His love. Amen
