1 Corinthians 1:8 says, “Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” What does this mean? Once we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior God confirms us as blameless only through the blood of Jesus. Christ makes us pure and blameless before God. When God looks upon those in Christ He does not see sin but sees the perfection of Christ. However, that does not mean we are perfect, it just means that the perfect Savior Jesus Christ makes us justified before God. We should keep in mind this justification does not come through works, rather through the love and mercy of God. Amen

Foundation of Faith
Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. 1 Corinthians 3:11 says, “For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”. What does that mean? God wants us to follow Him and grow in our faith. When we build our faith on solid ground the Lord will guide us and help us through all the challenges we face. Satan does sometimes tempt us but with God in our hearts we are able to fight against Him and win. When Jesus was tempted by Satan he quoted the Word of God. Luke 4:8 says, “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” We should be careful not to be self-serving and not put other things before God. It is easy in life to forget God and put other things before Him but we should not do that. When we let God’s spirit lead us He helps us to stay on the right path. Praise God for His love. Amen
Cross is Eternal Life
1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” What does that mean? It teaches us that without God in our hearts understanding Christ’s atonement is difficult to say the least. Before, we have accepted Jesus the Gospel seems foolish because we don’t understand what God did for us. When we become saved we are adopted into the family of God and His plan of salvation. As, Christian’s we are able to understand that the cross and sacrifice of Jesus is what Christianity is all about. We learn that God loved us enough He was willing to die for us. When we begin to appreciate Christ’s love for us He begins to open our minds and hearts to understand Him better. Praise God for the cross, for His love for us and for His forgiveness. Amen
God is Strong
2 Corinthians 12:10 says, “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” What does that mean? We should not be ashamed of our weaknesses, whatever they may be and God is with us. This passage expresses having gratitude for our weaknesses. When we are weak the Power of God often shines. When we are weak God is strong He is greater than our weaknesses and His strength shines through our weaknesses. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”. It is great news to know that through Christ anything is possible. Amen
He Will Restore All Things
Jesus will come back and restore all things. As Christian’s we can look forward to a New Heaven and a New Earth. Revelation 21:1 says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” 2 Peter 3:13 says, “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” What does all this mean? Right now Satan has some control but God’s plan is to destroy Him. God will make all things perfect just like they were before the fall of Adam. While we do sin as Christian’s with God in our hearts, we can’t be possessed by Satan and there is limited temptation from Him. We should keep in mind even the perfect Jesus went out into the desert and Satan did everything he could to tempt Him but Jesus prevailed and remained without sin. Praise God for salvation, The Holy Spirit and for His love for us. Amen
Be An Ambassador
The Apostle Paul describes himself as an ‘ambassador in chains’. We know that Paul was under house arrest in Rome. Paul was faithful to the Gospel. As Christian’s we should be not only believers but willing to preach the Gospel to as many people as possible. We are lucky not to suffer as much for the Gospel as Paul did. Philippians 1:29 says, “For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake;” What does that mean? It means we should be willing to give up everything for the Gospel, even our lives that feel comfortable. In Matthew 5:12 Jesus taught that as Christian’s our ‘reward is in heaven’. Praise God for the gift of salvation and the power He gives to follow Him. Amen
Bless Me
We learn in the Old Testament that a guy name Jebez (1 Chronicles 4:10) asked for God to bless him. God is already with us as believers in Him but we can ask for Him to bless us. In this case God granted his request even Jesus taught to pray for God to protect us from evil. This is a commonly overlooked passage but it’s good to know God is ready and willing to bless us. Amen
The Gospel
It is good as a Disciple of Christ, a believer in Him to preach the Gospel and study the Word regularly. In the early church we learned of people who are very good about studying God’s word and searched the scriptures to see if what the Apostles said is true. It’s good not to just take a Pastor’s word but measure it with the Bible. People in the early church in Thessalonica studied God’s word and “…searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11” Paul sought to preach the Gospel to places where it was seldom heard he said, “It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.” Romans 15:20″ Praise God for the Gospel and salvation. Amen
Rejoice and Be Happy
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 What does that mean? We learn in Matthew 11:7 that God will provide for our needs. Even when times are hard God is with us that is why we should rejoice and be happy everyday. It may be very tough, each day has trials and joys. Rather than be negative we can be thankful for the good things God has given. When we are able to eat and live without issues it is a blessing and all good things come from God. Jesus wants us to walk with Him daily. We should have daily fellowship with him, letting Him guide us through each day as He provides for us. Praise God the ‘Great Provider’ Amen.
Saints Will Judge
1 Corinthians 6:2 says, “Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?” What does this mean? Well, Paul teaches that the Saints will judge the world because God will give believers authority to judge. Revelation 2:25–26, Christ is quoted as saying that those who conquer and keep His word to the end will be given a share of His authority over the nations and rule over them. Paul does not completely explain this powerful idea, and the Bible doesn’t provide much detail about how those who are in Christ on this side of eternity will judge those who are not. Jesus says to His apostles in Matthew 19:28, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” The whole church of Saints will judge the world, Paul may have expected the Saints of Corinth to judge the world which is why he explains “Do you not know”. God loves us and has given us this wonderful earth. Thank God for the love He has and that we will have dominion over the earth.
